New
winterstorage
Last Oktober, Standfast opened its new hall for winter storage of
sailing yachts and power boats. With this new, insulated and heated
hall Standfast offers almost 5000 m˛ of high quality winter storage
and care for yachts.Everything has been done to store the boats with
maximum safety and to provide the owners with more opportunities to
take care of their yacht. Owners can access the storage seven days a
week. When desired, Standfast sets up a maintenance planning where
agreements are made to what the owners will take care of themselves,
and where Standfast needs to intervene.Every night the storage is
locked, leaving the yachts in a safe storage, guarded by burglar and
fire alarms.
Upgrading facilities
After investing in new storage facilities, Standfast is planning
more investments in upgrading their boat handling facilities. Safe
and easy operated handling of all yachts is the key target.
Standfast 43: Boat of the year 2006
HISWA has nominated the Standfast 43 for the Boat of the Year 2006

to enjoy sailing to the max. During the HISWA Boat Show, February

Standfast facilitates CA’s “Magic Carpet”
Standfast recently made a commercial agreement with the Cruising
Association UK (CA) for the transport and handling of yachts coming
from and going to the Med. More and more people want to enjoy a
season of sailing in the Med, but want to keep their boat near their
home during winter. The CA has therefore set up “Magic Carpet”, a
service to CA members. Standfast facilitates the transfer of these
yachts through reduced rates and a flexible service. The service is
new, but increasingly more owners are inquiring for it.
Easy
connection to the Med with Standfast and Port Napoleon
Another initiative comes from the co-operation between Standfast and
Port Napoleon, offering an easy transfer between North Europe and
the Med. Competitive package rates including boat handling at both
places, transport and a berth in the marina of Port Napoleon make
sailing in the Med very attractive and affordable.

Kwinte II: Best Maintained S&S Swan – Built 1969,
Hull nr. 24
Kwinte II, a Swan 43, is the precious property of a Belgian owner,
who has the ship refitted at the Standfast yard in 1997, and since
then always kept bringing her to Standfast for maintenance. This
summer, during the “Voiles de Saint-Tropez”, KwinteII shared the
first place with two sister ships in the S&S Swan Association’s
award “Best Maintained Swan”. We wish to congratulate the owners
with this award.
